The Kétou toll station on the Route nationale n°26 (RN26) officially entered service on 19 October 2026. Located in Bénin, the facility manages traffic flow along this transit corridor.

Operations at the site are managed by the Société des infrastructures routières et de l’aménagement du territoire (SIRAT SA). The state-owned enterprise oversees the collection of fees and the maintenance of the infrastructure at the new location. The station functions as part of the broader regional network overseen by SIRAT SA to support road transport standards. Vehicles traveling through Kétou are now subject to the toll protocols established for the RN26 route.

Official Toll Rate Structure

Light vehicles measuring under 2.55 meters in height are subject to a fee of 1,000 FCFA for each passage through the Kétou toll station. This rate applies to standard passenger cars and small transport vehicles navigating the RN26 corridor.

Operators charge vehicles with two axles a rate of 2,000 FCFA per passage. This category covers larger utility vehicles and small trucks that exceed the height threshold set for the base passenger rate.

Heavy goods transport categorized by three axles must pay 6,000 FCFA per passage. SIRAT SA applies this tariff to medium-sized commercial freight vehicles utilizing the infrastructure.

Vehicles equipped with four axles face a toll of 6,000 FCFA for each passage. Heavy-duty transport and articulated vehicles fall into this highest price bracket as managed by the Société des infrastructures routières et de l’aménagement du territoire.

Heavy Vehicle Pricing Tiers

Vehicles classified with five axles are subject to a fee of 8,000 FCFA for each passage through the Kétou toll station. This tariff applies to heavy commercial transport units operating on the RN26 corridor under the management of SIRAT SA.

Transporters operating vehicles with six axles must pay a toll of 10,000 FCFA per passage. This rate structure reflects the infrastructure requirements for larger freight vehicles utilizing the road network in Bénin.

Vehicles requiring seven or more axles face a fee of 18,000 FCFA for each individual passage. The Société des infrastructures routières et de l’aménagement du territoire (SIRAT SA) enforces this rate for the largest heavy-duty articulated transport units that traverse the station.

An interministerial decree dated 2 July 2026 established these specific toll rates. The regulation defines the fiscal protocols for all heavy vehicle categories currently managed by the Société des infrastructures routières et de l’aménagement du territoire at the Kétou site.
