Celtiis Bénin distributed checks to football clubs and the Fédération béninoise de football (FBF) on 16 October 2026 at the Stade de l'Amitié Général Mathieu Kérékou in Cotonou. This investment stems from a partnership signed in December 2024, which involves a total commitment of 1.5 billion CFA francs over five years.
Rewarding Excellence in Domestic Leagues
Sobemap accepted 20 million CFA francs for securing the men's championship title during the 2025-2026 season. Coton FC collected 10 million CFA francs as the men’s vice-champion for the same period.
Competition in the women’s division also saw financial recognition. Dynamique FC earned 10 million CFA francs for winning the women's championship, while Élite AC received 5 million CFA francs as the women's vice-champion for the 2025-2026 season.
Marcellin Bocovè, président de la Fbf, emphasized the long-term necessity of these investments for the sport. "Si nous voulons des résultats, il faut qu’on aille à l’école de la formation," he stated regarding the broader development of domestic athletics. These payments provide direct support to the clubs as they prepare for future seasons and continue their professional operations within the national league structures.
Subsidizing Clubs and National Teams
Celtiis Bénin allocated 90 million CFA francs in direct subsidies to men's first division clubs to support their operational requirements. These funds aim to bolster the financial stability of the teams competing within the top tier of the national league structure.
Clubs participating in the women's championship received a total of 36 million CFA francs in subsidies from the company. This funding is intended to assist women's football organizations in managing their seasonal expenses and maintaining their professional activities.
The Guépards national team received 30 million CFA francs, while the Amazones were granted 15 million CFA francs to support their respective programs. The Fbf accepted 14 million CFA francs to assist with the administrative and logistical operations of the federation. These disbursements represent a component of the broader financial partnership established to provide resources to national teams and governing bodies as they manage their upcoming athletic commitments.
